Pataigin Wins Innovation Award

Today, at a joint meeting of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and Johns Hopkins University, Pataigin was awarded a $25,000 Maryland Department of Commerce Life award for Pataigin’s application of lipid fingerprint technology licensed from UMB. Pataigin has developed a test, called BACLIB, that inexpensively identifies bacteria and fungi causing infections in less than an hour.
